About the Role

As a People Assurance Advisor, you’ll champion Costa’s labour standards, support leaders and teams through audits, and provide critical guidance on compliance and reporting. This role offers the flexibility to work from any Costa location, however there will be significant amount of travel inter/intrastate will be required to attend audits/pre-audits, which may commence outside of ordinary working hours.  Travel may be required spontaneously and over the weekend. Time in lieu and flexibility will be provided to offset this.

What You'll Do:

As a People Assurance Advisor, you will:

  • Educate and support leaders and HR/WHS teams on Costa’s labour standards and audit readiness.
  • Assist in preparing and supporting audits & SMETA audits across various sites.
  • Conduct sample-based testing of Payroll and payroll compliance processes to evaluate adherence with established policies and procedures and employment laws.
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive working papers that clearly document the testing procedures and findings.
  • Promote a culture of ethical behaviour while supporting incident reporting and resolution.
  • Contribute to system improvements for workforce support and compliance.

What You'll Bring:

  • 2+ years’ experience in HR, payroll compliance, audit, or ethical sourcing.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and award interpretation.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive matters with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • You're self-motivated and able to work autonomously to achieve your goals
