We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer to join our multi skilled Continuous Improvement team, supporting the delivery of cutting‑edge autonomous agricultural technology.

About the Role

As our Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing the software, algorithms and system logic that drive Costa’s autonomous agricultural platforms.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining robotic and automation control systems
• Building intuitive front-end applications for route planning, fleet management and operational dashboards
• Implement intelligent validation logic
• Work closely with stakeholders to problem solve, prioritise and deliver outcomes
• Develop trusted partnerships with internal teams, field operators and external vendors to support successful implementation and ongoing system performance

About You

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with excellent interpersonal skills. You will ideally demonstrate experience in:

• A similar role in software development and system controls either across horticulture processes or warehouse based modern methods of processing
• PLC based controls
• LiDAR point cloud processing
• GNSS navigation
• Computer vision systems
• CAN Bus communication systems
• Working collaboratively within multi‑disciplinary teams and influencing outcomes across different stakeholders
