Senior Procurement Manager

Costa is a global leading grower, packer, and marketer of premium quality fresh fruit and vegetables. Our success is built on a commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability across every part of our business.

Costa has more than 8000 planted hectares of farmland including berries, citrus, avocados, bananas and table grapes. We also operate 40 hectares of hi-tech glasshouses and three main mushroom growing facilities. We have operations in more than 60 rural and regional communities across Australia and in China, Morocco and Laos. Our produce includes avocados, bananas, berries, citrus, grapes, mushrooms and tomatoes.

The Opportunity

Costa’s Procurement function is undergoing significant transformation.

We are building a centre-led global procurement model across the Costa Group, with strong executive sponsorship and engagement. The team is highly regarded across the business, consistently exceeding targets, and is currently implementing the full suite of Coupa Source-to-Pay (S2P) technology to enable a step change in governance, visibility and value delivery.

This role represents the final strategic appointment to complete our high-performing team.

Reporting into Group Procurement Leadership, the Senior Procurement Manager will play a critical role in delivering enterprise value across Costa’s third-party spend, with an initial focus on farm labour and services - our largest cost category.

This is a strategic, commercially focused role that will partner closely with operational leaders across the Group to maximise value, reduce risk and drive innovation.

While labour will be a key focus area, the successful candidate must be adaptable and capable of leading sourcing initiatives across multiple categories as required.

Key Focus Areas

  • Lead Strategic Sourcing & Category Strategy
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop and execute category strategies that improve service delivery, reduce cost, minimise risk and introduce innovation across Costa’s third-party spend - with an initial focus on farm labour and services.

  • Drive Supplier Performance & Value Creation
  • Manage suppliers end-to-end across the procurement lifecycle to ensure strong contract performance, governance, risk management and continuous improvement, while building strategic partnerships that deliver long-term value.

  • Simplify & Enable Through Process Excellence
  • Embed streamlined procurement and supplier management processes through Coupa, driving compliance, operational efficiency and adoption of Costa’s centre-led procurement model.

  • A pragmatic, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Flexibility to work across diverse categories as business priorities evolve
