The Far North Queensland team are looking for an experienced leader to take on the position of Regional Manager. Reporting to the National Operations Manager, this position is a permanent role based across our multiple farms on the Atherton Tablelands.

About the Role

The Regional Manager is responsible for all operations, including P&L accountability for the region – this is a high responsibility role working within an industry that can be varied and unpredictable.  Costa are continually striving to be the best at what we do, therefore all Regional Managers are responsible for an ongoing process of strategic development, business review and improvement in their areas.

In this role you will;

  • Lead a large and varied team to success, setting the benchmark for behaviour in line with the Costa values of determination, passion, accountability, sincerity and respect
  • Have overall responsibility for the financial performance of the region
  • Drive business performance improvement, striving to identify ways to work more efficiently and ensure spending is appropriate
  • In partnership with your senior leadership team of horticulture, harvest, operations, quality, safety and HR, develop operational plans and KPIs
  • Act as a role model to all employees and leaders on site
  • Encourage and support the development of all team members, planning for future succession
  • Be responsible for the workplace health, safety and environment of all employees in the region, ensuring standard procedures are followed and everyone is prioritising the area of responsibility in their day
  • Maintain an awareness of food hygiene and quality priorities, ensuring the initiative are rolled out across the region
  • Communicate with other Regional Managers to share learnings and maintain consistency

About You

We are looking for someone who is able to instil their own passion into their team, and ensure everyone working in the region shares common goals.

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Display solid leadership and emotional intelligence skills, with demonstrated ability to engage others, influence organisational culture, and provide strong direction
  • Have significant experience in implementing, managing and reporting on budgets, and managing a P&L to success
  • Have significant experience in analysing data to identify trends and areas of focus
  • Have experience spanning the range of employee relations issues within a complex organisation/industry
  • Have experience in driving process review and business improvement
  • Have highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, including an ability to prepare high level reports
  • Be a lateral thinker with an ability to manage a multitude of complex tasks and projects
  • Have well-developed skills in planning and managing projects to successful completion
  • Have excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
