What we are looking for:

We are looking for a PALM Recruitment Lead to join Costa's Pacific Labour Acquisition team, based at our Docklands office (4/1 office/work from home hybrid role), however we may consider candidates based in Sydney or Brisbane for a remote working arrangement.

This role will coordinate the end-to-end delivery of allocated PALM Scheme recruitment cohorts across Costa's operations nationally. You will independently lead lower-complexity recruitment activities while supporting senior team members with larger, more complex or higher-risk recruitment and mobilisation programs.

This is not a traditional recruitment role. Alongside candidate screening and selection, you will coordinate workforce planning, PALMIS approvals, documentation, travel and mobilisation schedules to ensure workers are ready to deploy in line with seasonal labour demand. The role requires strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to keep multiple time-critical workflows moving at once.

Travel is an important part of the role. You will undertake domestic and international travel to support in-country recruitment campaigns, candidate selection and critical mobilisation activities. This will generally involve three to six offshore trips each year, along with some domestic travel to Costa sites. You will need to enjoy working hands-on in the field and building relationships across different cultures and locations.

You will work closely with Labour Sending Units, travel providers, government stakeholders and Costa teams across Operations, Human Resources, Payroll and site leadership. This role would suit someone with experience in recruitment operations, workforce coordination, program delivery or another high-volume, compliance-driven environment who is ready to take ownership of recruitment cohorts and progressively build their capability across more complex programs.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead end-to-end PALM Scheme recruitment for allocated cohorts, from workforce planning and approvals through to candidate selection and mobilisation.
  • Coordinate in-country recruitment activities, including screening, shortlisting, interviews and candidate selection.
  • Manage recruitment timelines, PALMIS workflows, documentation and mobilisation readiness, identifying and escalating risks where required.
  • Build strong relationships with Labour Sending Units, travel providers and internal Costa teams to support successful recruitment and workforce deployment.
  • Support larger or more complex recruitment programs and travel throughout Australia and the Pacific for recruitment and mobilisation activities.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in recruitment, workforce coordination, program delivery or a similar role, ideally in a high-volume or time-critical environment.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple recruitment activities and deadlines at once.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the confidence to work across different teams, countries and cultures.
  • High attention to detail and experience working with data, systems and compliance-driven processes.
  • A practical, hands-on approach, sound judgement and the flexibility to undertake domestic and international travel as required.
