What we are looking for:
We’re looking for a proactive Production Supervisor to join our team at our state-of-the-art mushroom facility in Monarto, near Murray Bridge in South Australia. You will play a key role in assisting the Production Coordinator in supervising Filling and Emptying of Growing Rooms and Peat Processing Facility, ensuring efficient operations and all production procedures comply with the Safety and Quality standards and HACCP procedures. This role is engaged on a 7-day rotating roster.
You’ll bring passion and enthusiasm to bring out the best in the team and their team’s results, and encourage fairness and consistency across the team and help the team work together to achieve targets.
What you'll do:
- Ensuring the daily operational plans are adhered to, thereby achieving the requirements of internal customers, and enabling the successful realisation of production targets – daily/weekly/monthly while complying with company policy.
- Resolve daily workflow issues ensuring efficient running of machines.
- Operate all machinery and plant according to documented Safe Operating Procedures.
- Safe chemical application and record keeping. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
- Undertake weekly, monthly stock-take and workplace inspections.
- Assist in weekly rostering of staff and efficient daily time management.
- Liaise with Maintenance team for proper operation of all machinery and plant.
- Report all incidents, accidents, near-misses, property damage and hazards.
- Manage and lead the Production Team by participating in learning and development initiatives and fostering an environment that complies with Company policies.
