Production Line Supervisor - Renmark


Costa’s Riverland operations are looking for a Production Line Supervisor to oversee the operation of one of our Compac Production Lines at our Renmark packing shed. In this hands-on role, you will ensure that production runs smoothly, fruit quality meets specifications, and staff are working efficiently to fulfill customer orders. You will play a key role in maintaininghigh standards of safety, quality, and efficiency while leading a diverse team during the busy citrus packing season.

This role requires strong leadership skills, particularly in managing a culturally and linguistically diverse workforce, where English is often a second language. Effective communication and the ability to support and engage employees in a fast-paced environment will be critical to success.

What You'll Do:

Reporting to the Renmark Packing Operations Manager, you will

  • Oversee the daily operation of one production line, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency.
  • Monitor fruit quality and specifications, liaising closely with the Quality Control team.
  • Operate the Compac Computer Program to ensure accurate sorting and sizing.
  • Ensure orders are packed correctly with the appropriate packaging and labelling.
  • Lead and coordinate line staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to work instructions.
  • Conduct pre-production checks and monitor production line performance.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment.
  • Identify staff training needs and provide support to develop their skills.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experince in packing operations or a supervisory role in a similar environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with workers where English is often a second language.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer systems (experience with Compac is highly regarded).
  • Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, or other food safety standards is an advantage.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and extended shifts during peak season.
  • A current forklift licence and ChemCert certificate (or willingness to obtain).
