Who we’re looking for:

The Production Analyst & Planning Manager has the opportunity to design and execute an integrated planning system that aligns farming operations, supply, sales & financial forecasting to inform business decisions and increase the commercial profitability of Costa’s farming and packing assets in Sunraysia.

What you’ll be doing:

This position involves high level coordination and technical based verification of farming and packing operations affecting growing and quality programs. Accordingly there is accountability and authority to implement change initiatives to enhance operational performance and productivity.

Other responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic partner to managers and leaders within region, and the wider category as required, to streamline systems, policies and processes which improves the traceability, efficiency and sustainability of all farming and packing operations.
  • Establish and manage a central software platform to collate data on fruit sizing and quality across the growing season and report customised analysis to key stakeholders in the farming, packing, finance and sales & marketing departments.
  • Leverage cross functional networks within the company to streamline communication, achieve intra/inter regional consistency and broader category alignment.
  • Research and test emerging Ag-tech innovations to add value and increase operational efficiencies.  

What you’ll bring to the role 

  • Qualification in relevant business or agronomic field would be advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in large scale horticultural or equivalent sector.
  • Broad knowledge base of farming and packaging operations.
  • Ability to strategically troubleshoot, manage risk and for contingency.
