Highly analytical and detail-oriented, you will bring experience supporting payroll system implementations, with the ability to perform complex validation, reconciliation, and testing activities.

A proactive problem solver and collaborative team player, you will build strong relationships with stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced project environment. Experience with parallel testing, a commitment to data accuracy, and a passion for delivering successful business outcomes will set you up for success in this role.

This is a full time maximum term role through to early 2027 (approximately 8-9 months depending on start date), with opportunity for extension.

What you’ll do:

  • Support and coordinate payroll parallel testing activities as part of Costa's Dayforce HCM implementation project.
  • Perform payroll validation, reconciliation, and variance analysis to ensure data accuracy between legacy and new systems.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies while ensuring compliance with payroll legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.
  • Assist with SIT, UAT, payroll cutover, and go-live activities to support a successful system transition.
  • Act as a Payroll SME, collaborating with internal stakeholders and project teams throughout implementation and hypercare.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven payroll experience, ideally supporting an HCM, HRIS, or payroll system implementation project.
  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation, awards, and enterprise agreements.
  • Experience conducting payroll testing, reconciliations, and analysing complex payroll data.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, exceptional attention to detail, and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
