Packshed Coordinator - NSW

About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Packshed Coordinator to join our team at our Corindi farm in NSW.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating daily packshed operations, supporting packing teams and ensuring fruit is packed efficiently, safely and to customer quality standards. Working closely with the Packshed Manager, you will play a key role in driving operational performance, team engagement and continuous improvement across the packshed.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day packing operations to ensure production requirements and customer orders are achieved.
- Prioritise pack line efficiency, packing staff and packshed procedures from fruit receival through to dispatch to support quality and yield outcomes.
- Monitor pack line performance, labour allocation, packing efficiency, product quality and wastage.
- Provide day-to-day direction, support and coaching to packing employees.
- Oversee training plans for new staff and provide ongoing support to employees.
- Support performance management processes and employee performance improvement where required.
- Develop, support and implement new procedures in line with WHS, quality assurance and operational requirements.
- Ensure WHS, food safety and quality assurance standards are followed at all times.
- Track and report on packing performance, wastage, labour productivity, dispatch, stock on hand and stock control requirements.
- Communicate regularly with the Packshed Manager regarding fruit quality, fruit volumes, start times and operational priorities.
- Monitor employees and pack lines while operations are running to ensure productivity, safety and quality standards are maintained.
- Support injury management and return-to-work processes within the team.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, organised and confident working in a busy production environment. You will be a strong communicator who can support teams, manage changing priorities and maintain a focus on quality, safety and productivity.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A positive attitude and willingness to take ownership of daily responsibilities.
- The ability to lead, support and communicate clearly with employees.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures.
- Confidence working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
- The ability to monitor performance, identify issues and escalate concerns when required.
- A practical approach to problem-solving.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to complete reporting requirements.
- A commitment to workplace health and safety, food safety and quality standards.
- Flexibility to work across varying shift patterns, including weekends and extended hours during peak production periods where required.
- Previous experience in a production, packing, fresh produce, horticulture or leadership environment will be highly regarded; however, we are open to considering candidates who demonstrate the right attitude, leadership potential and willingness to learn.
