About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Dispatch Operator to join our team in Gingin, WA. In this role, you will be responsible for organising the dispatch of stock in line with customer requirements whilst also assisting the Pack Shed Supervisor in day-to-day pack shed operations.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Organise dispatch and truck loading, following customer's requirements and paperwork (including CHEP transfers, dispatch orders and schedules, ICA/31 paperwork, and paperwork for truck drivers)
  • Ensure daily, weekly, monthly analysis of dispatch, SOH & stock control
  • Communicate regularly with Harvest Manager regarding fruit quality, quantity and start time.
  • Intake of packaging stock - trays and punnets (and any other items)
  • Intake of picked product coming through to pack shed
  • Ensure all invoicing is completed for seconds sales
  • Ensure all end of month stock take tasks are completed
  • Ensure all stickers and labels are printed and placed on correct pallets ready for pick up
  • Assist in the tracking and reporting of packing performance and wastage
  • Assist the pack line and employee monitoring whilst the pack lines are in operation
  • Assist Pack Shed Supervisor when/if required and work part of the pack shed team
  • Ensure WHS and QA standards are always adhered to

About You

  • Experience in a fruit packing operation - desirable
  • Experience in dispatch operations - desirable
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills - ability to take responsibility and time manage.
  • Strong computer skills - specifically word & excel
  • Working knowledge of cool room management
  • Experience or a keen interest in the horticulture and produce industry.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills – ability to lead a team to success
  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively & relate to a wide variety of cultures
  • Ability to identify opportunities to maximise efficiencies
  • Awareness and respect for compliance, food safety, and quality assurance requirements
  • Driver’s licence
