We are seeking a capable and driven Operations Manager to lead the Operations team in Gingin, WA. Reporting to the Regional Manager, this hands-on role is focused on leading and overseeing the daily and weekly operational targets through partnership, collaboration and assistance with the Horticulture and Harvest areas. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, playing a critical role in ensuring a successful season and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead High-Performance Teams: Lead and inspire high-performance teams by coaching and developing staff to achieve operational targets by optimizing resources for maximum efficiency whilst building a positive and accountable team culture.
• Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise processes, reduce costs, and maximise profitability. Challenge the norm and encourage innovative thinking.
• Budget and Performance: Manage production budgets, performance targets, and reporting.
• Collaborative Partnerships: Foster strong relationships with cross functional teams and external stakeholders to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
• Regulatory Compliance: Champion health and safety, quality assurance, food safety, and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will have:

• Tertiary training in Horticulture (degree or diploma) desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, FMCG knowledge or relevant agricultural experience (preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership experience, people management, and team building skills (and the ability to motivate, develop, and foster teamwork).
• Demonstrated project management, planning, and time management skills.
• High levels of attention to detail.
• Ability to focus and balance multiple tasks and interruptions to achieve delegated tasks within agreed timeframes.
• Ability to identify and solve problems efficiently under pressure.
• Strong analytical and risk management skills.
• Good computer literacy with a focus on Excel and Word
