We are seeking a capable and driven Operations Manager to lead the Operations team in Gingin, WA. Reporting to the Regional Manager, this hands-on role is focused on leading and overseeing the daily and weekly operational targets through partnership, collaboration and assistance with the Horticulture and Harvest areas. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, playing a critical role in ensuring a successful season and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead High-Performance Teams: Lead and inspire high-performance teams by coaching and developing staff to achieve operational targets by optimizing resources for maximum efficiency whilst building a positive and accountable team culture.
- Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise processes, reduce costs, and maximise profitability. Challenge the norm and encourage innovative thinking.
- Budget and Performance: Manage production budgets, performance targets, and reporting.
- Collaborative Partnerships: Foster strong relationships with cross functional teams and external stakeholders to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
- Regulatory Compliance: Champion health and safety, quality assurance, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will have:
- Tertiary training in Horticulture (degree or diploma) desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, FMCG knowledge or relevant agricultural experience (preferred).
- Demonstrated leadership experience, people management, and team building skills (and the ability to motivate, develop, and foster teamwork).
- Demonstrated project management, planning, and time management skills.
- High levels of attention to detail.
- Ability to focus and balance multiple tasks and interruptions to achieve delegated tasks within agreed timeframes.
- Ability to identify and solve problems efficiently under pressure.
- Strong analytical and risk management skills.
- Good computer literacy with a focus on Excel and Word
