What we are looking for:
We’re looking for a full time Mechanical Fitter to hit the ground running at our industry-leading mushroom growing facility in Monarto, near Murray Bridge and Mount Barker in South Australia.
As part of a small and supportive maintenance team, you’ll play a key role in keeping our state-of-the-art operation running smoothly 52 weeks a year. From scheduled maintenance to urgent repairs, no two days are the same – and your problem-solving skills will make a real impact.
What you'll do:
- Carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance to ensure plant and equipment operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.
- Respond to machinery breakdowns and perform timely repairs to minimise disruption to production operations.
- Identify equipment issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance performance and reliability.
- Manage spare parts and maintenance inventory, ensuring critical stock is available to support operational requirements.
- Work closely with maintenance and production teams to reduce downtime, optimise equipment availability, and maintain a safe workplace in line with OHS&E standards.
What you'll bring:
- You’ll be a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter (or higher) with proven experience in industrial maintenance and plant equipment repairs.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across mechanical systems, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Hands-on experience working with conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and other industrial plant equipment.
- A proactive, safety-focused approach, with the ability to work independently and contribute positively within a team environment.
- A current C Class Driver’s Licence, with an Electrical B Class Licence viewed favourably but not essential.
Please note: Rotating shifts between 5.00am–10.00pm, with occasional weekends, public holidays and call-outs.
