Mechanical Fitter - Vertical Farming

About you:

You will be a highly motivated individual with ability to work both as part of a team as well as autonomously. You will love working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same and have a customer first approach. Your positive can-do attitude will be evident, and you will be able to demonstrate a history of strong fault-finding.  You will also have:

• Trade qualification or higher
• B class licence (preferred)
• Demonstrated prior industrial maintenance experience
• Current C Class Drivers Licence

About the opportunity

An exciting opportunity for a qualified Mechanical Fitter to 'hit the ground running' as part of a small and supportive team at our category leading Mushroom growing facility. Servicing an industry leading & start-of-the-art facility in production and agricultural practices the operations run 52 weeks of the year, 7 days of the week. Based at Monarto 40 minutes up the freeway & reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, key responsibilities include a proactive approach to programmed maintenance, daily repairs to plant and machinery & key involvement in identifying process improvement.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Implementing new project improvements
• Ensuring appropriate spares & stock levels are maintained
• Collaborative teamwork to maintain minimal downtime of facility production
• Compliance with OHS&E policy & procedures throughout day-to-day activity

Weekend work and public holidays may be required. Call outs and out of hours work may also be required from time to time.
