Mechanical Apprentice - Monarto

An exciting opportunity exists for a Mechanical Apprentice to join a small and supportive team at our category-leading Mushroom Growing Facility in Monarto, just 40 minutes up the freeway.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and working under the guidance of our qualified maintenance team, you’ll assist in the maintenance and repair of site equipment across an industry-leading, state-of-the-art facility. Operations run year-round, 52 weeks of the year, 7 days a week, supporting innovative vertical farming practices.

We’re looking for someone who is curious about how machinery and automation systems work, enjoys hands-on, practical problem solving, and has a desire to learn how to maintain modern production equipment.

The successful candidate will hold the following skills and attributes:

• Current C Class Driver’s Licence
• Demonstrated interest in mechanical systems, tools, and equipment (e.g. motors, pumps, conveyors, hydraulics)
• Curiosity about automated systems and technology used in modern production environments
• Basic understanding of tools
• Customer-first approach (customers & co-workers)
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Excellent communication skills
• Can-do attitude and strong work ethic
• A strong commitment to safe work practices
