We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Horticulturist to join our team in Gingin, WA. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their horticultural career to gain hands-on experience and develop skills in a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with monitoring plant health, nutrition, irrigation, and pest/disease management under the guidance of senior horticultural staff.
  • Support the implementation of best practice horticultural activities to achieve high yield and quality.
  • Help maintain accurate records of horticultural operations, including spray and irrigation schedules.
  • Participate in research and development activities, including data collection and trial support.
  • Collaborate with the Operations, Harvest, and Horticulture teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy workplace by following all safety and quality procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and be open to learning new skills and approaches.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Horticulture or a related field (or working towards completion).
  • Willingness to learn and develop practical skills in plant health, nutrition, irrigation, and pest/disease management.
  • Ability to identify and communicate issues to senior staff.
  • Some experience (including internships or placements) in horticulture, agriculture, or a related field is desirable.
  • Willingness to learn problem-solving techniques in a horticultural setting.
  • Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
  • Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Organised and able to manage time and tasks effectively.
  • Strong team player with good communication skills.
  • Willingness to collaborate and take direction from senior team members.
