Irrigators are responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of irrigation systems across both substrate- and soil-grown berry blocks.

This role combines hands-on operational and maintenance activities, including fertiliser mixing, irrigation control systems, pumps, filtration equipment, and irrigation infrastructure, with the regular monitoring of plant water use, irrigation performance, and overall plant health. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting crop productivity and ensuring irrigation systems operate efficiently and effectively across the farm.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable individuals to join our team at our Corindi farm in NSW.

This hands-on role is responsible for monitoring and maintaining irrigation systems to support crop health and production targets. We are looking for a proactive individual who can work autonomously, take ownership of their daily responsibilities, and contribute to the efficient operation of our farm.

We are seeking candidates who are looking for long-term employment opportunities and strongly encourage local residents to apply. Due to the nature of the role, this position is not suitable for short-term working holiday visa holders. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitor plant water usage and manage irrigation schedules to achieve crop production targets.
  • Perform daily irrigation programming and adjustments using computer-based irrigation systems.
  • Ensure the efficient and optimal operation of all irrigation infrastructure and equipment.
  • Conduct regular block inspections to identify irrigation and plant health issues, carrying out minor repairs and reporting major concerns to the Irrigation Manager and/or Horticulture Team.
  • Complete preventative maintenance activities in accordance with scheduled maintenance programs.
  • Diagnose and repair irrigation pumps, pipework, valves, and fittings.
  • Clean, repair, and maintain filtration systems to ensure effective water delivery throughout the farm.

About you

  • The ability to undertake moderate physical activity, including regular walking, lifting (up to 25kg fertiliser bags), bending, and reaching.
  • A willingness to work outdoors, coupled with excellent attendance and a positive attitude.
  • Availability to work a regular roster, including weekends when required.
  • Previous agricultural or horticultural experience (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously while following instructions and established procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Basic computer literacy and confidence using digital systems.
  • Intermediate to advanced English language skills, including both verbal and written communication.
  • Current driver’s licence
