Irrigation Maintenance Technician - Corindi

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our irrigation team in the Costa Berry category. This role is ideal for someone seeking long-term, ongoing work. Locals are strongly encouraged to apply. Please note, this position is not suitable for short-term visa holders.
About the Opportunity
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting irrigation infrastructure to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably. Your duties will include:
- Carrying out preventative maintenance in line with scheduled programs
- Diagnosing and repairing irrigation equipment including pumps, generators, valves, and electronic components
- Maintaining and servicing filtration systems
- Liaising with contractors to assist with fault finding and repair work
- Troubleshooting and repairing low-voltage electrical faults within automated irrigation systems
About You
We are looking for a practical and reliable individual with strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will have:
- The physical capability to perform manual tasks and availability to work outside normal hours in emergency situations
- A current driver’s licence
- Experience using hand tools and mechanical equipment
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities with a mechanical mindset
- Low-voltage electrical experience and the ability to use a multimeter
- Experience operating pump systems and diesel generators
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work with minimal supervision or collaboratively within a team
Previous experience in a similar role or relevant trade qualifications are preferred. Mechanical or electrical experience will be highly regarded.
