Human Resources Graduate
Costa is a global leading grower, packer, and marketer of premium quality fresh fruit and vegetables. Our success is built on a commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability across every part of our business.
Costa has more than 8000 planted hectares of farmland including berries, citrus, avocados, bananas and table grapes. We also operate 40 hectares of hi-tech glasshouses and three main mushroom growing facilities. We have operations in more than 60 rural and regional communities across Australia and in China, Morocco and Laos.
We're seeking enthusiastic graduates from a range of disciplines to join Costa as part of our 2025 Graduate intake!
About Costa’s Graduate Programs and Roles:
All graduates joining the 2026 intake automatically enrol in a leadership development program, which aims to train and develop our future leaders and innovators. As a cohort, you will be provided with a hands-on and educational experience across Costa, that offers unprecedented access to senior leaders, external facilitators and former graduates to mentor and guide your course work and development.
The two options for 2026 graduate roles are as follows:
- Rotational Graduate Program Positions: 18-month duration, comprised of 3 x 6-month rotations in three different produce categories at different locations.
- Permanent (Specialised) Graduate Positions: these are ongoing graduate positions in some of the key talent growing hubs in our organisation, whether on farm or at our Docklands support office.
About this position:
The Human Resources graduate role is a Permanent (Specialised) Graduate position. As a graduate in this capacity, you will take a dedicated route within Costa’s central Human Resources team, providing support to our teams across the entire Costa Group business. This means you would get exposure to working with all Costa’s produce categories and Business Units. You will commence your career with a dedicated set of responsibilities, under the guidance and mentorship of experienced colleagues and leaders.
This is a dual role supporting two key human resource functions, which will be split into 50% of your time for each, though this may fluctuate based on business needs throughout the year. As a result, you must have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and juggle different priorities. This will also see you reporting into two Senior Human Resources leaders who will direct and mentor you throughout this graduate experience.
Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Learning and Development:
- Organise and schedule training sessions, workshops and onboarding initiatives
- Ensure that new employees receive training in company policies, systems and values
- Maintain employee training data and generate reports from Costa’s Learning Management System (LMS)

- Design training materials that are engaging and aligned with learning needs
- Assist in creating or updating training materials such as presentations, e-learning modules, handbooks and guides.
- Collect and analyse employee feedback to suggest improvements in culture and engagement
People Operations:
- Provide end-to-end support for recruitment and onboarding processes across business support functions
- Ensuring all administration and records management relating to HR is maintained accurately and securely
- Support the team in maintaining compliance with employment legislation and internal policies
- Create and maintain HR documents such as templates, standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidance notes, and process trackers to support consistent and efficient HR operations across the business support function.
- Coordinate key HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle, including probation reviews, contract changes, performance review cycles, and leaver administration, ensuring timely and accurate delivery in line with organisational standards.
- Respond to and triage queries about benefits, policies or leave entitlements
- Liaise with the payroll team to ensure accurate employee compensation
Your Opportunity:
- Benefit from a structured leadership and development training program
- Gain access to industry leaders and Costa executives
- Play a central role in producing premium quality fruit and vegetables
- Exposure to networks across the industry
