About the role:

This newly created role is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced workplace health and safety (WHS) specialist to make a genuine impact across the Costa workforce. The role involves working collaboratively with both the central and operational HR/WHS teams and Costa leaders to develop WHS programs and systems. 

This role reports to the Group Manager, WHS and is key to ensuring the development of best practice approaches for the management of an Integrated Safety Management System and consistent safety policy, standards and procedures across multiple business units. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Focus on effectiveness of central safety system and implementation of Riskware
  • Safety system administration and integrity
  • Policy and regulatory documentation management
  • Support the process of ISO 45001 documentation implementation

About you:

  • A relevant certification or tertiary qualification in WHS or relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of WHS/OHS/HSE legislation, codes of practice and standards
  • Interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation including presenting information to functional groups and producing appropriate written communication
  • The ability to engage at all levels 

This role may be available from a number of locations in Australia where Costa's sites are based, as well as the ability to work from home.  Regular travel will be required.
