The General Manager role is full time and based in Vientiane, Laos where you'll enjoy a unique international lifestyle in one of Southeast Asia's most welcoming and fast-growing capitals. Regular travel will be required between Vientiane and Costa’s farming operations in Paksong, Laos located on the Bolaven Plateau which offers access to a region famous for its cool climate, spectacular waterfalls, rich agricultural heritage and world-renowned coffee industry.

What we are looking for:
This is a rare opportunity to join Costa in our exciting international business. As General Manager - Laos, you will lead a significant blueberry operation while helping shape its future expansion, with ambitions for substantial growth in production, infrastructure and market presence over the coming years.
We’re seeking a hands-on agricultural leader with experience in berries, fresh fruit, horticulture or broader farming operations. Reporting to the Australian-based Chief Operating Officer - Berry International, you’ll lead Costa’s Laos operation across production, packing, logistics and people, helping drive performance, growth and operational excellence.
This role is suited to someone who enjoys leading teams in complex farming environments, with a strong focus on operations, continuous improvement and delivering results. You’ll work closely with our leadership team based in Australia, leveraging global expertise while building capability and company culture locally.
We’re looking for a resilient, adaptable leader who is excited by the opportunity to live and work in Laos. We are open to experienced General Managers as well as high-performing operational leaders who are ready to take the next step into their first GM role. Success in this position will come from strong agricultural operations experience, leadership capability, adaptability and a genuine passion for building teams and growing businesses.
What you'll do:
- Lead Costa’s Laos blueberry operation across production, packing, logistics and support functions to deliver safe, efficient and profitable outcomes.
- Drive farm performance by improving yield, quality, productivity and cost efficiency across the blueberry operation.
- Build, lead and develop high-performing teams while fostering a strong culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Partner closely with Costa’s Berry International leadership team to align local operations with global standards and best practice.
- Represent Costa within Laos, building strong relationships with government bodies, community stakeholders and key business partners.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Horticulture, Agricultural Science or Business Management.
- Leadership experience within berries, fresh fruit, horticulture, agriculture or large-scale farming operations.
- Strong operational management capability with a track record of leading teams and delivering results in complex environments.
- A hands-on, adaptable leadership style with the resilience to thrive in a developing and fast-growing business.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across cultures and locations.
- High levels of integrity, drive and ambition, with a genuine passion for agriculture and willingness to live and work in Laos.
