What we are looking for:

As part of our high-performing Market Sales Team, you’ll play a key role in driving sales growth and developing strong, long-term relationships with customers and growers. With the business continuing to grow, we’ll provide the support and opportunity for you to build a successful career while expanding our customer base and grower network. You'll be focused on identifying new opportunities, strengthening existing partnerships, and connecting customers with quality fresh produce solutions.

To succeed in this role, you’ll be an experienced salesperson with a strong understanding of fresh produce, including production cycles, seasonality, consumer trends, and stock management. You’ll bring proven experience in sales and margin management, a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, and the ability to identify and secure new business opportunities. Just as importantly, you'll have demonstrated success in growing existing customer relationships and delivering sustainable commercial growth.

This is a full-time position based at the Melbourne Markets in Epping. As the market operates overnight, working hours fall between 11:00pm and 9:00am, and applicants must be available to work within these hours to be considered for the role.

What you'll do:

• Build and strengthen relationships with customers, growers and suppliers to drive sales growth and maximise product availability.
• Identify new business opportunities, source products and stay ahead of market and industry trends.
• Manage stock levels and product positioning to meet customer demand while minimising waste and shrinkage.
• Provide leadership, coaching and support to the Sales Support Team to help achieve outstanding commercial results.
• Work closely with growers, operations teams and customers to deliver exceptional service and achieve sales targets.

• Proven sales experience with a track record of building strong customer relationships and delivering commercial results - existing industry relationships and a passion for the fast-paced and unique market environment will make you an outstanding candidate for this rewarding career.
• Experience within fresh produce, agriculture or a fast-moving supply chain environment.
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to identify growth opportunities and respond to changing market conditions.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach, combined with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
