Food Safety & Compliance Manager - Vertical Farming

About the Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Food Safety & Compliance Manager to join our Vertical Farming team based at Monarto.

Reporting to the State Manager, you’ll lead the site’s food safety, quality and environmental systems to ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP and major retailer standards. You’ll champion a culture of continuous improvement and excellence across the site.

This hands-on leadership position will see you:

• Oversee and enhance FSQ and environmental management systems.
• Lead audit readiness and ensure compliance with all regulatory and customer requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in product quality and manufacturing practices.
• Build trusted relationships with regulatory authorities, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage and conduct internal audits & Licensing Agreement.
• Working closely with our Quality and sites to ensure that auditing is balanced across all areas and focused when required.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Food Safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with relevant legislative, regulatory and policy requirements
• Facilitate the implementation of appropriate Food safety and quality processes and practices to ensure compliance obligations are well understood across the business, embedded into business processes, monitored appropriately and subject to review at least annually.
• Design and maintain processes and controls including approved significant policies and procedures that enable the effective operation of the Food Safety Program.

About You

You’re an experienced Food Safety & compliance professional who thrives in a dynamic, production-based environment. You combine technical expertise with strong leadership and a commitment to continuous improvement.

You’ll bring:

• Qualifications in science, food safety or a related discipline
• Experience in food manufacturing or fresh produce environments
• Strong knowledge of SQF, HACCP, WHS and environmental standards.
• Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.
• A collaborative, proactive and improvement-focused mindset.
