Farm Support and Tractor Operators – Dunorlan, TAS.

We are looking for Farm Support and Tractor Operator to join our Blackberry Farm in Dunorlan.

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking motivated candidates interested in a long-term opportunity to join our team. The role involves operating and maintaining farm implements, tractors, and general farm operations. 

The tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Operate tractor and spray unit combination toward the safe and accurate application of sprays to our berry crops
• Operate slasher, mulching equipment
• Perform regular checks and preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery as directed
• Wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Ensure all equipment is regularly washed down and cleaned according to set standards
• Maintain logs and records for the regular equipment
• Assist in the regular calibration of all equipment
• Work flexible shifts – (flexibility to work night shifts is avenged)
• Ability to work autonomously and follow direction without supervision
• Other

About You 

• A driver’s licence and your own vehicle.
• Tractor and or spray operator experience.
• Chemical accreditation certificate is an advantage.
• Looking for long term ongoing employment
• Good communication skills
• Good record keeping
• Basic mechanical knowledge and skills would be advantageous
• Basic computer/digital technology skills
• Good planning and time management to ensure set tasks are completed in a timely manner
• Punctual, reliable, and able to follow direction
