The Opportunity

Costa is seeking an experienced Export and Logistics Administrator to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. Reporting to the Export Documents and Logistics Manager, you will play a key leadership role, overseeing the coordination of export logistics for Costa’s export sales and providing guidance to junior team members. Your expertise will help drive operational excellence and continuous improvement within our export and logistics function.

Key Focus Areas

This senior role is ideal for someone with a strong background in export administration and logistics, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to mentor others. You’ll leverage your advanced computing skills, industry knowledge and leadership abilities to ensure the highest standards in the organisation and execution of export logistics. On the job training will be provided for specific systems, and you’ll be encouraged to contribute to process improvements and best practice initiatives.

The role duties include:

  • Lead and coordinate export logistics activities to ensure all shipments meet customer service expectations, regulatory requirements, and destination country compliance standards
  • Resolve complex queries related to our export logistics and documentation process
  • Oversee export sales data entry into multiple systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and provide support and training to administration staff as needed
  • Liaise with Accounts Payable and other internal departments to ensure invoices are processed in a timely manner and escalate issues where necessary
  • Manage relationships with third party export stakeholders and proactively resolve customer enquiries, representing Costa in a professional manner
  • Support the Export Documents and Logistics Manager in developing and implementing process improvements and contribute to team meetings and strategic planning sessions.

About You

  • 5 years experience in export documentation and/or logistics within the fresh produce, agricultural or FMCG sectors
  • Strong working knowledge of export compliance, international shipping procedures and relevant regulations
  • Proven leadership skills, including mentoring and training team members
  • Advanced proficiency in export management systems
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, especially in fast-paced environments.
