We are seeking an experienced Engineering & Reliability Supervisor to join a small supportive team at our category leading Mushroom farm, based in Perth, WA.
Reporting to the Engineering & Reliability Manager, this hands-on role will be accountable for supervising a team of maintenance workers (Fitters, Electricians, Trades Assistants and Apprentices) across two locations to support the site with preventative and reactive maintenance, breakdown repairs, replacing and upgrading equipment and providing subject matter expertise and advice.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Allocating the day-to-day work tasks to the Engineering & Reliability team via MEX and ensuring all documentation meets the site requirements.
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Engineering & Reliability department and ensuring health and safety and quality compliance is always met.
- Evaluating site facilities and assets to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
- Ensuring tasks are completed in an effective and efficient manner.
- Assisting with record keeping of all compliance documents.
- Assisting in the management of the Asset register by ensuring that Costa’s assets are maintained and input into MEX.
- Arranging contractors as requested by Engineering & Reliability Manager and ensure that all contractors have been registered as part of Costa’s vendor management system and all work undertaken is compliant to the relevant standards.
- Hands on assistance with the Engineering & Reliability team in the completion of works (repairs, breakdowns and preventative maintenance).
The successful candidate will have:
- Trade background (ideally mechanical or electrical) to allow you to understand the equipment and work requirements for the team.
- Minimum of 3 years maintenance supervisory experience, preferably in a horticulture environment or food industry.
- Experience using MEX or other Maintenance planning & tracking software.
- Experience with HACCP and food safety processes and procedures (preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of formal escalation and review processes.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of WHS standards.
- An ability to build strong and collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, organise workload & meet deadlines within a conflicting & fast paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, people management, and team building skills (and the ability to motivate, develop, and foster teamwork).

Weekend work and public holidays may be required. Call outs and out of hours work may also be required from time to time.
