Engineering & Reliability Manager


About the role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Engineer and Reliability Manager to lead our engineering, maintenance, and asset management functions. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and sustainable performance of all site equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.

As a trusted technical expert, you will shape our reliability strategy, optimise maintenance practices, and champion continuous improvement. You will work closely with operations, safety, and leadership teams to drive high standards of asset integrity, compliance, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement reliability and asset management strategies that improve equipment performance and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Provide engineering leadership and technical oversight across mechanical, electrical, and site infrastructure.
  • Oversee maintenance planning, execution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all engineering and maintenance activities comply with Australian WHS legislation and relevant standards.
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, building capability and fostering a strong culture of safety and accountability.
  • Manage budgets, contractors, and vendor relationships to ensure value for money and high-quality outcomes.
  • Deliver engineering and capital projects from concept through commissioning.
  • Monitor performance, analyse data, and implement solutions that enhance asset reliability and operational efficiency.

About You

You will be a degree-qualified engineer (mechanical, electrical, or related discipline) with demonstrated experience in reliability, maintenance, or engineering management. You bring:

  • Strong knowledge of asset management, reliability engineering, and maintenance systems (MEX/ SAP).
  • A solid understanding of WHS obligations and Australian regulatory requirements.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop teams and drive organisational improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the business.
