About the Role

Costa's Renmark Farms and Pack House Operations are looking for a proactive and experienced WHS operative to join our dynamic team in Riverland. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing workplace health, safety, and wellbeing across our operations. As part of the Costa Group, a leader in sustainable and innovative agricultural practices, you'll be instrumental in fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with leaders to achieve WHS objectives, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment through strategic planning and key performance indicators.
  • Lead by example, providing advice and support to WHS Committees and Health & Safety Representatives, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Analyse safety metrics, identify improvement areas, and develop risk minimization plans.
  • Coordinate site safety training, implement health and wellbeing initiatives, and ensure compliance with Costa Group Safety Management System.
  • Support and guide the Return to Work Process, including developing individual return-to-work programs.
  • Mentor safety teams and support the wellbeing of Seasonal Pacific Workers.

What You'll Bring:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a WHS role.
  • Tertiary qualification in WHS or a related field, or equivalent experience. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, and Standards.
  • Demonstrated experience with Workers Compensation legislation and coordinating Return to Work processes would be highly regarded. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, building strong relationships at all levels.
