Packing Maintenance Supervisor – Riverland


Costa’s Riverland operations are seeking an experienced and proactive Packing Maintenance Supervisor to join our dynamic Citrus team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee a small team to ensure the seamless operation of our packing facilities through preventative and reactive maintenance.

What You'll Do:

Reporting to the Packing Maintenance Manager, you will lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the maintenance team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with safety and quality standards. You will oversee plant checks, manage repairs and equipment upgrades, and maintain stock inventories while ensuring a streamlined approach to procurement and record-keeping. Additionally, with the assistance of the Packing Maintenance Manager you will arrange and manage contractors, support new projects from scheduling to delivery, and contribute to cost forecasting. During peak seasons, you will share on-call duties and Saturday work with other maintenance staff to ensure seamless operations. This role requires a proactive approach to continuous improvement, team collaboration, and maintaining operational excellence.

What You'll Bring:

  • A Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (preferred) or an alternative relevant trade qualification. A background in mechanical engineering or a related field will be highly regarded.
  • At least 4 years in a similar role, with demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to plan and manage workforce activities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A commitment to workplace health, safety, and compliance, ensuring the team operates at the highest standards.
