Operations Support Manager - Brisbane

Be a part of something good, working with quality fresh produce for a company that values people and their diversity, and gives back to the communities in which they live and operate. This is an opportunity to have a part in the future direction of our business, while still being able to get in and work with the team, improve how we operate and create a fantastic working experience.

What can you expect?

Our Brisbane-based business provides marketing services for growers' produce through our market floor. We also have a warehouse in the market precinct that provides related distribution services making this a unique and busy enterprise. Working market-centric hours, as our Operations Support Manager you will be getting the warehouse running smoothly while keeping an eye on the market floor to make sure that the team is on track and the customers are happy. When things get crazy - which they sometimes do! - you will be pitching in to make sure all of our quality produce gets to the right place at the right time at the quality our customers have come to expect. Once you've got this humming along nicely, you can concentrate on working on the business, rather than in the business, supporting the State Manager - QLD and helping to build a high-performing team and a strong and secure business.

What will you need to do?

As our Operations Support Manager we will need you to lead our team of hard-working warehouse, market floor and support services staff and direct all aspects of the day-to-day running of our operations to supporting the delivery of our goals and objectives. This will involve assist the State Manager to lead the culture of the business and the team, inspiring and motivating the group and creating a positive workplace, understanding, coaching and implementing best practice operations.

Understanding budget targets, helping to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, working to achieve metrics by engaging appropriate operational levers and drivers, and the ability to effectively plan resources for maximum utilisation and efficiency will become pivotal elements of your role.

Identifying people's strengths and empowering them to take on more of what they enjoy will free up time for the management team to continue to develop the skills of their team members, helping them grow with the needs of the business. This will also be crucial to the success of your role.
