We are currently seeking Supervisor to join our Irrigation and Establishment teams

About the role:  

The ideal candidate will be motivated, hands on and able to work under pressure. This position will suit an individual with a mechanical aptitude or a background in Horticulture/agriculture.

• Organise and supervise irrigation team on a day-to-day basis
• Assist in monitoring and managing the performance of irrigation team members in collaboration with and as directed by your line manager
• Monitor plant water use and manage irrigation scheduling to meet targets
• Ensure optimal operation of irrigation systems through regular monitoring and maintenance
• Manage fertiliser stocks, maintain fertiliser mixing and dosing equipment
• Scout blocks for irrigation and plant health issues; spot fix and report major issues to the Irrigation Coordinator/Irrigation Manager
• Complete maintenance schedule and all other administrative tasks involved with the maintenance of the irrigation system in a timely manner
• Other duties as required and/or directed

• Previous experience leading a team
• Driver’s License and own reliable vehicle
• Agricultural/horticultural experience is desired
• Forklift (desirable)
• Chemcert (desired)
• Previous experience in a supervisory role.
