Costa’s Citrus operations in the heart of the Riverland, South Australia, are seeking a Harvest Administration Officer to support the smooth and efficient management of our Harvest Administration. This role would be based in Renmark, and plays a vital part in ensuring accurate rostering, time and attendance data, compliance with labour requirements, and effective workforce administration during our peak harvest period and beyond.

If you have strong administration skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce, this is an opportunity to be part of a high-energy team at the heart of one of Australia’s largest citrus operations.

What You'll Do:

As a Harvest Administration Officer, you will provide day-to-day support to the Harvest Administrator, ensuring the accurate and timely collection, processing, and reconciliation of harvest labour data. You will assist in managing piece-rate compliance, seasonal worker documentation, and payroll administration while working closely with Harvest Supervisors, external labour providers, and a workforce where English is often a second language.
This role requires clear communication, patience, and strong organisational skills to support a multicultural workforce. You will also assist with communication and process improvements, ensuring that supervisors and workers understand administrative requirements. During the off-season, you will contribute to refining administrative workflows and working with Finance, Payroll, and HR to enhance harvest operations.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience in administration, payroll, or HR.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce where English is often a second language.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Challenges:

  • Ensuring timely and accurate processing of harvest administration records and processes in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Communicating effectively with a multicultural workforce, adapting processes to support employees with varying levels of English proficiency.
  • Working with multiple stakeholders, including contractors and internal teams, while ensuring compliance with labour regulations.
  • Supporting a workforce that fluctuates seasonally, requiring strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Assisting with process improvements and implementing training initiatives to enhance administrative efficiency.

What We Offer:

  • A dynamic role supporting one of Australia’s largest citrus operations.
  • Opportunities for career development, with clear succession planning.
  • Exposure to administration, payroll, HR, and compliance functions, providing a strong foundation for future growth.
  • A supportive and flexible team environment, working closely with key stakeholders across the business.
