About the role: 

We are currently seeking a Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team based in Mernda, Victoria. This role reports to the Department B Assistant Manager. In this position you will operate a forklift the department to load and unload mushroom beds from the filling line. This role includes the opportunity to advance to Machine Operator in approx. 2-3 months if proven a competent operator.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assist with the day to day running of the Fill Line by maintaining efficiency rates of 200 trays filled and stacked per hour.
• Maintain an accurate schedule, meeting all daily, weekly, and monthly production requirements.
• Operate front end loader (after trained/licensed)
• Undertake safe loading of trays onto the de-stacker.
• Undertake safe unloading of trays from the rejecter.
• Undertake safe loading and transferring of trays into correct growing rooms.
• Operate all machinery and plant according to documented Safe Operating Procedures.
  

About you:

• Forklift licence essential, with minimum 2-year experience.
• Competent forklift operator
• Front-End Loader ticket highly desired but not essential.
• Physically fit and willing to undergo pre-employment medical.
• Basic hand tool knowledge.
