About the Team

The Citrus & Grapes Finance Team is located variously in regions where our Vitor branded fruit is grown, packed and marketed from the Riverland in SA, Northern Queensland, Melbourne and Mildura and surrounds so the ability to work autonomously within a geographically dispersed team to collaboratively meet corporate financial reporting requirements, is essential.

About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner based in our Dockland's Head Office, the Finance Administration Officer will be primarily based on Colignan Farm (40 min drive from Mildura) with regular onsite travel and attendance to nearby citrus and grape farms and packhouses to ensure the efficient financial administration of our year round citrus and grape operations. The flexibility to work extended hours in peak season is critical to the success of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely collation and coding of contractor and creditor invoices and responding to and investigating discrepancies.
  • Preparation of contractor invoicing information.
  • Timely and accurate recording and reconciliation of harvest production volumes.
  • Raise purchase orders in SAP for chemicals, fertilisers and packing materials as seasonally required. Assist with scheduling and processing of stock take in SAP.
  • Maintain purchase order register, fixed asset register and farm inventory overview.
  • Assistance with the preparation of month-end duties.
  • Ensure up to date electronic filing and housekeeping so all data is easily accessible.
  • Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with weekly payments, ensuring vendors are paid within contracted terms.
  • Harvest data entry into Caramba (internal production database) to segregate costs by crop variety.
  • Perform general admin/office support tasks as required.

What you’ll bring to the role:  

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience performing basic accounting/reporting.
  • Familiarity with SAP software or other accounting system.
  • Certificate III Business (Administration) or Certificate IV Accounting and Bookkeeping would be highly regarded.
  • Strong numerary skills.
  • Attention to detail and proactive escalation of issues.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office, Word & Excel.
