Farming Project Manager – Atherton, Far North Queensland

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and driving the successful completion of our expansion of blueberries farms in FNQ.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Assist in project development and planning.
  • Coordinate contractors and their activities.
  • Manage project progress and adapt work as required.
  • Ensure projects meet deadlines and budget.

Leadership:

  • Display high-level leadership skills.
  • Lead by example, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Coordinate staff and internal resources effectively.

Communication:

  • Maintain strong communication with stakeholders.
  • Provide clear and timely updates on project progress.

Operational Support:

  • Assist the Operations Manager with other aspects of the FNQ business when necessary.

Skills and Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent level in a relevant field.
  • Forklift ticket (desirable, not essential).

Experience:

  • Minimum 13 months to 3 years of experience as an unsupervised practitioner.
  • Experience in installation of protective cropping structures desired
  • Experience in installation of irrigation systems desired
  • Experience in managing teams of people
