Costa Group, Australia's largest grower, packer, and supplier of premium citrus and grapes, is seeking multple dedicated and energetic Farm Hands to join our Riverland Citrus Farming operations.

The role of Farm Hand/Irrigation Hand is perfect for those who thrive outdoors and enjoy hands-on work. Whether you’ve worked on farms before or are completely new to the industry, we’re looking for people with a positive, “can-do” attitude, a willingness to learn, and the availability to work a flexible roster to meet harvest and operational requirements. Reliability, a strong work ethic, and a focus on safety are key to succeeding in this role.
About the Role
As a Farm Hand, you’ll play a vital role in our farming operations, with responsibilties including:
- Operating tractor sprayer to perform weeding, slashing, mulching, citrus harvest/board casting fertiliser duties.
- Basic service and maintenance of farm equipment.
- Mixing and distribution of fertilisers, and accurate recording of fertiliser usage.
- Ensure onsite water infrastructure including drip irrigation and sprinklers are correctly monitored, repaired and maintained to meet the farm’s irrigation requirements.
- Maintenance and repair of irrigation lines, filters, valves, pumps etc.
- Cleaning filters, flushing dripline and unblocking of sprinklers.
- General farm labour as required.
You’ll work directly under the guidance of our Farm Manager, receiving on-the-job training and opportunities to grow and develop your skills and career. About you
- Passion for outdoor, hands-on work in all weather conditions.
- Desire to grow a long-term career in Horticulture.
- Experience operating tractors and forklift or, be willing to attend paid training.
- Willingness to obtain certifications (like ChemCert) with Costa’s support.
- A valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work safely under varying climatic conditions.
