Citrus Harvest Supervisor – Murtho

Due to an internal promotion, Costa has an opportunity for an experienced Citrus Harvest Supervisor based at Murtho, located in the vicinity of Renmark, South Australia.

Working as part of an experienced and established team, the successful applicant will be accountable for ensuring the orderly and correct harvesting of citrus crops, by leading the Assistant Harvest Supervisors and Harvest Operators, overseeing picking teams made up from a combination of direct hire employees and contractors, and performing inductions and ensuring compliance to all safety standards.  Recording of harvest data and picker performance will be part of this role, as well as coordination of bin movements into and out of properties.

This challenging and varied role will suit a self-motivated individual who has at least 3 years demonstrable harvest supervisory experience obtained from previous assignments in citrus or other horticultural products.

 Other essentials include good communication and relationship building skills; strong organisational skills and the ability to supervise staff; basic computer skills; and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. Previous experience working with people from the Pacific Islands, while not essential, would be valued.  A strong focus and commitment to Occupational Health and Safety, Food Safety and Quality is a key requirement.
